Library
A library is a data management system for documents, which are often, but not necessarily, organized as a hierarchy of folders and drawers. Also known as workbook.
In the context of programming, it contains accessible code for software and web development, so that common tasks can be performed without having to write new code every time. Many libraries are freely available. One well-known library is jQuery, which was released in 2006 and is currently the most popular JavaScript library boasting that programmers can write less but do more.
